Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform and document routine and patient-specific quality assurance on radiation therapy equipment
- Calibrate linear accelerators and other radiation delivery systems to ensure accurate dose delivery
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists and dosimetrists to develop, review, and approve treatment plans
- Maintain and validate treatment planning and record-and-verify systems (ARIA/EPIC workflows)
- Lead commissioning and acceptance testing for new equipment and software
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and licensing requirements
- Troubleshoot clinical physics issues and drive continuous improvement in clinical processes
- Contribute to training, policy development, and documentation for the radiation oncology team
Qualifications
- ABR certification (required)
- Current BLS certification
- State license/certificate verification as required
- Experience with EPIC and ARIA RadOnc preferred
- Familiarity with SHARE DRIVE CTC-RadOnc or similar clinical file systems preferred
- Completion of competency checks such as Trinity Skills Checklist
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to complete fit test and required health screenings
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong foundation in medical physics and radiation oncology principles
- Proficiency with EPIC and ARIA RadOnc workflows and integrations
- Competence in treatment planning, dosimetry, and QA methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Clear clinical communication and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards in radiation therapy
