Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in a long-term care setting
- Assess resident health status, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate outcomes
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document precisely in the health record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers to optimize resident well-being
- Monitor and report changes in condition and implement timely clinical interventions
- Support infection prevention practices and maintain a safe environment for residents and staff
- Mentor and guide CNA staff during shifts to ensure high-quality care delivery
- Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and continuous quality improvement efforts
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Michigan or compact/state-appropriate licensure
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Ability to pass Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen and required health screenings
- Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing as required
- Up-to-date immunizations (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza) and TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
- Fit testing and respirator evaluation clearance when applicable
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills in long-term care environments
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in long-term care assessments, care planning, and medication administration
- Proficient documentation practices and familiarity with electronic health records
- Knowledge of infection control, resident safety, and regulatory compliance
- Ability to prioritize, triage, and respond to clinical changes effectively
- Excellent interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and care teams
- Comfortable with competency testing and following facility-specific protocols
