Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in a long-term care setting
• Assess resident health status, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document precisely in the health record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers to optimize resident well-being
• Monitor and report changes in condition and implement timely clinical interventions
• Support infection prevention practices and maintain a safe environment for residents and staff
• Mentor and guide CNA staff during shifts to ensure high-quality care delivery
• Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and continuous quality improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Michigan or compact/state-appropriate licensure
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Ability to pass Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen and required health screenings
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing as required
• Up-to-date immunizations (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza) and TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
• Fit testing and respirator evaluation clearance when applicable
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills in long-term care environments

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in long-term care assessments, care planning, and medication administration
• Proficient documentation practices and familiarity with electronic health records
• Knowledge of infection control, resident safety, and regulatory compliance
• Ability to prioritize, triage, and respond to clinical changes effectively
• Excellent interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and care teams
• Comfortable with competency testing and following facility-specific protocols
