Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform thorough occupational therapy evaluations and create patient-centered treatment plans
- Provide skilled therapeutic interventions to improve independence and functional outcomes
- Document clinical progress clearly and timely in the patient chart and complete Prime checklists/tests as required
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home programs for lasting results
- Adhere to facility policies, infection control practices, and required health screenings and vaccinations
- Participate in competency testing (Prime Core Competencies, Prime Specialty, Prime Skills Checklist) to ensure consistent high-quality care
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current state Occupational Therapy license (must be active prior to start)
- NBCOT certification required
- Current BCLS (AHA) / BLS certification
- DCI/BVP certification as listed
- Minimum 1-2 years of Occupational Therapy clinical experience
- Completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam as required
- AOTA and OTAC membership preferred
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical evaluation and treatment planning skills across adult populations
- Skilled in therapeutic techniques to improve ADLs, mobility, and functional independence
- Clear, timely clinical documentation and charting proficiency
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with Prime testing and competency processes
- Understanding of infection control, immunization requirements, and workplace health screenings
