Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a safe, sterile environment for electrophysiology procedures
- Assist EP physicians and the procedural team during studies and ablations with precision and calm
- Monitor patients closely before, during and after procedures, recognizing arrhythmias and hemodynamic changes
- Administer medications and ACLS interventions as needed under physician direction
- Perform patient education and handoffs, documenting clearly in the electronic health record
- Verify equipment function, troubleshoot in real time and coordinate with techs to keep the lab running smoothly
- Participate in competency checklists and required testing to maintain clinical excellence
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with verification (Pennsylvania licensure required or verified)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- Experience or demonstrated competency in an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab preferred
- Completion of facility-specific competency testing such as Trinity Skills Checklist and specialty competency assessments
- Ability to complete required pre-employment health screenings and drug testing
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with electrophysiology procedures, catheters and mapping systems
- Strong patient monitoring skills including telemetry and rhythm interpretation
- Proficiency in sterile technique and infection control practices
- Comfortable with medication administration protocols in procedural settings
- Clear, compassionate patient communication and interdisciplinary teamwork
- Accurate EHR documentation and handoff practices
