Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a safe, sterile environment for electrophysiology procedures
• Assist EP physicians and the procedural team during studies and ablations with precision and calm
• Monitor patients closely before, during and after procedures, recognizing arrhythmias and hemodynamic changes
• Administer medications and ACLS interventions as needed under physician direction
• Perform patient education and handoffs, documenting clearly in the electronic health record
• Verify equipment function, troubleshoot in real time and coordinate with techs to keep the lab running smoothly
• Participate in competency checklists and required testing to maintain clinical excellence

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with verification (Pennsylvania licensure required or verified)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• Experience or demonstrated competency in an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab preferred
• Completion of facility-specific competency testing such as Trinity Skills Checklist and specialty competency assessments
• Ability to complete required pre-employment health screenings and drug testing

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with electrophysiology procedures, catheters and mapping systems
• Strong patient monitoring skills including telemetry and rhythm interpretation
• Proficiency in sterile technique and infection control practices
• Comfortable with medication administration protocols in procedural settings
• Clear, compassionate patient communication and interdisciplinary teamwork
• Accurate EHR documentation and handoff practices
