Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging exams with attention to patient safety and comfort
• Operate CT equipment and optimize protocols to produce diagnostically useful images
• Assess patients, review history, and verify correct exam and site prior to scanning
• Collaborate with radiologists and technologists to ensure timely, accurate imaging results
• Adhere to radiation safety and infection control standards to protect patients and staff
• Maintain clear, compassionate communication with patients and families throughout the exam
• Complete required documentation, image routing, and equipment checks promptly
• Participate in required competency checks and the Trinity Skills Checklist

Qualifications

• Current radiologic technologist license/certification as required by state (license/certificate verification required)
• Computed Tomography (CT) experience and demonstrated competency in CT imaging
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Ability to pass Trinity skills checklist, background checks, drug screen, and required health screenings/vaccinations
• Strong patient care skills and ability to work independently on evening/night shifts
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (or equivalent)
• ARRT (CT) certification preferred or eligible; state licensure as required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency operating CT scanners and adjusting protocols for patient size and clinical indication
• Solid understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology relevant to CT
• Knowledge of radiation safety principles and ALARA practices
• Familiarity with PACS, RIS, electronic charting and image post-processing
• Ability to position patients, manage IV contrast administration protocols, and monitor patients during scans
• Comfortable handling trauma/emergent and routine imaging scenarios
