Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert labor and delivery nursing care during all stages of labor and delivery
• Continuously monitor fetal status and intervene according to fetal monitoring standards
• Circulate and assist in C-section procedures and manage post-operative recovery
• Float to the postpartum unit as needed and support seamless patient transitions
• Care for newborns during the immediate recovery period when required
• Document patient care and communicate clearly using EPIC
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiology, NICU and the entire care team to deliver safe, family-centered care

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) — L&D experience indicated by the role title
• EPIC experience required
• Fetal Monitoring certification required
• Demonstrated ability to circulate and recover C-section patients
• Comfortable floating to postpartum and supporting post-delivery care
• Preferred: experience caring for babies during the recovery period

Knowledge & Skills

• Labor and Delivery nursing best practices
• Intermittent and continuous fetal monitoring interpretation
• EPIC charting and electronic documentation workflows
• Perioperative support for C-sections and post-anesthesia recovery
• Postpartum assessment and maternal-newborn transition care
• Effective teamwork and clear communication in high-acuity situations
