Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, cognition and swallowing needs for patients across inpatient, outpatient and long-term care settings
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with patient goals and functional needs
• Deliver evidence-based programs including LSVT Big and LSVT LOUD when appropriate
• Provide school visits, home care visits and community-based therapy as required
• Collaborate closely with physical and occupational therapy, nursing, providers and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate holistic care
• Document patient evaluations, progress and discharge plans accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in department initiatives such as rehab services coordination, community education and program development
• Support continuity of care through clear handoffs, referrals and communication with local providers

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for Montana Speech-Language Pathologist licensure
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred (or equivalent credential) — strong plus
• Experience or training with LSVT Big and LSVT LOUD program preferred
• Comfort working in diverse settings: inpatient hospital, nursing home, outpatient clinic, schools and home care
• Ability to travel locally to outside facilities as part of the role
• Strong clinical reasoning, documentation skills and collaborative mindset

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent graduate degree)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in speech, language, voice and swallowing assessments and interventions
• Familiarity with LSVT Big and LOUD approaches
• Comfort working within an interdisciplinary rehab team
• Skilled in patient- and family-centered care with strong communication skills
• Ability to manage a varied caseload across inpatient, outpatient and community settings
• Basic familiarity with EMR documentation and timely charting
