Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform clinical evaluations, screens, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based direct patient care in the rehab setting
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely, compliant documentation
- Ensure correct reporting of billing information for patients on your caseload
- Report and interpret treatment results to the interdisciplinary team
- Supervise support personnel and coordinate patient care with staff
- Develop and present in-service trainings and provide community education as requested
- Educate patients and families on therapy goals and home program strategies
- Participate in patient care meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Certification in accordance with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) required
- Active licensure to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Missouri required
- Ability to safely lift, turn, move, and transport patients and perform minimal assist transfers (ability to lift/control up to 50 pounds)
- Strong clinical evaluation and treatment planning skills with attention to Medicare and insurance compliance
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to interdisciplinary care
Education
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
