Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative and postoperative nursing care for orthopedic and trauma surgical patients
• Assist the surgical team during orthopedic and trauma procedures with precision and calm
• Perform thorough assessments and continuous post-op monitoring to keep patients safe
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation including required skills checklists and certification records
• Communicate clearly with surgeons, anesthesiologists, therapists, and patient families
• Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and hospital policy standards at all times
• Support onboarding requirements by providing required credentials, references, and demographic information

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with Nursys license verification required
• Minimum 2 years experience in ortho/trauma or surgical med-surg specialty in a similar size setting
• Proven ortho/trauma surgical skills and experience in surgical nursing or med-surg RN roles
• Complete work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days
• Submission of skills checklist, references, and certification card as part of application
• Willingness to upload badge-appropriate photo and required demographic information to profile

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong ortho and trauma surgical skills and familiarity with surgical workflows
• Solid med-surg nursing foundation and post-op patient management
• Competence with surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, and perioperative procedures
• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and patient monitoring abilities
• Clear communication and teamwork skills for fast-paced surgical environments
• Accurate documentation habits and attention to compliance and credentialing details
