Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care through thorough evaluations and individualized treatment planning
• Deliver hands-on manual therapy and therapeutic interventions to help patients improve mobility
• Assess and assist with transfers, gait and balance to maximize patient functional independence
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and report billing information to the Therapy Director
• Report and interpret treatment outcomes, adjusting plans as needed for best results
• Supervise support personnel in your immediate work area and collaborate with the care team
• Develop and present in-services and participate in community education and public relations efforts
• Educate patients and families about therapy goals and home programs to support recovery

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy (required)
• Current certification with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)
• Licensed by the State of Ohio in Physical Therapy
• Ability to safely lift and control up to 50 pounds for transfers and mobility assistance
• Comfortable performing predominantly physical tasks (approximately 90% physical)
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with Medicare and private insurance requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy

• Skilled in patient evaluation and functional assessments
• Proficient in developing treatment plans and setting measurable goals
• Experienced in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic modalities
• Expertise in transfers, gait training and balance interventions
• Accurate clinical documentation and billing/reporting practices
• Effective patient and family education with clear home program instruction
• Ability to present in-services and participate in community outreach
• Team-oriented communication and supervision of support personnel
• Understanding of Medicare, private insurance and facility-specific policies
