Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate care to Med/Surg patients across a 30-bed unit
• Assess, monitor, and document patient condition changes and escalate concerns promptly
• Deliver safe medication administration and maintain accurate electronic health records
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Support trauma response when needed, leveraging your level 1 trauma experience
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions (care-focused role)
• Maintain infection control standards and contribute to a positive, timely unit workflow

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Level 1 trauma experience or prior experience in a mid-to-large hospital
• BLS required
• ACLS preferred
• Travel nursing experience is a plus
• Demonstrated positive attitude, punctuality, and strong teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Med/Surg patient care expertise
• Trauma assessment and response familiarity
• Proficient in basic life support interventions
• Comfort with fast-paced, 30-bed unit workflows and 5-6:1 patient ratios
• Strong clinical judgment, prioritization, and time-management skills
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
