Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality labor and delivery nursing care for a Level 3 high-risk facility
• Perform and interpret intrapartum fetal monitoring and advanced fetal assessments
• Conduct vaginal exams and place internal monitors confidently and independently
• Titrate and manage drips such as magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, insulin, and heparin
• Circulate and recover C-section patients in the OR and support anesthesia and surgical techs
• Deliver antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care including couplet care when indicated
• Float to postpartum and other units as needed to meet patient care demands
• Document patient care accurately in Cerner and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Qualifications

• Active RN (Registered Nurse) license (able to submit license)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience (L&D or high-risk OB experience preferred)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM)
• Comfortable with 12-hour night shifts and every-other-weekend scheduling
• Ability to titrate IV drips and manage high-acuity maternal patients
• Independent, confident in vaginal exams, internal monitor placement, and C-section circulation/recovery

Education

• Active RN license in the state of Nevada
• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or diploma accepted; BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Labor and Delivery nursing and high-risk obstetric care
• Intrapartum fetal monitoring and AWHONN guidelines for staffing ratios
• Medication titration and management of magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, insulin, and heparin
• Experience with Cerner electronic fetal monitoring/charting
• Ability to work with TEAM scheduling system and participate in self-scheduling
• Collaborative approach with surgical techs, OB/Neonatology, anesthesia, and ancillary staff
