Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to adult med-surg and observation patients
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process
• Manage patients with acute and chronic disease states and participate in critical disease-state interventions
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure safe outcomes
• Respond to telemetry and post-procedure patient needs related to hybrid cath lab and orthopedic surgeries
• Participate in unit call rotation and assist with staffing needs when requested
• Document care accurately and communicate changes in patient condition to the care team
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and safe transitions of care

Qualifications

• Current RN license valid for practice in Colorado (required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Acute Care, Med-Surg or Telemetry (required)
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications (required)
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts and participating in weekend and call rotations
• Ability to provide care on an OBS/Med-Surg unit and support hybrid cath lab and orthopedic surgery patients

Education

• Active RN license to practice in Colorado (degree not specifically required in description)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care and clinical assessment skills
• Proficient in nursing process, care planning and evaluation of patient care
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and med-surg adult care
• Familiarity with observation unit workflows and post-procedure care
• Ability to manage critical disease states and collaborate across disciplines
• Comfort with call rotation responsibilities and flexible staffing needs
