Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist during a wide variety of surgical procedures, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety
• Set up and operate advanced surgical robotics and instrumentation during cases
• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and supplies for specialty cases including ortho, neuro/spine, urology, GYN, ENT, plastics and trauma
• Maintain accurate instrument counts, anticipate surgeon needs, and adapt quickly in the OR
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and perioperative staff to deliver efficient, high-quality care
• Support perioperative workflow by documenting procedures and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and DORA requirements

Qualifications

• Active Colorado Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) license with DORA (required)
• Certification in Surgical Technology from NBSTSA or AST or NCCT
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Graduate of an accredited scrub technologist program
• Demonstrated experience with ortho/total joints, neuro/spine, robotics, urology, GYN, ENT and plastics
• Flu vaccination required (no exemptions accepted)

Education

• Graduate of an accredited scrub technologist program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in sterile technique and operating room protocols
• Hands-on experience with surgical robotics platforms (DaVinci, Mako, Exactech, Stealth)
• Strong instrumentation knowledge across general, ortho, neuro, ENT, urology and plastics cases
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and in fast-paced OR settings
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills within perioperative teams
• Accurate documentation and instrument count management
