Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality respiratory care and diagnostic procedures for patients of all ages and acuity levels
- Manage ventilators and provide advanced critical care respiratory support with confidence
- Perform comprehensive cardiopulmonary assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the care team
- Provide specialized neonatal and pediatric respiratory care when indicated
- Operate and interpret respiratory diagnostic equipment and results accurately
- Educate patients and families about respiratory therapies and equipment in a clear, compassionate way
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses thoroughly and professionally
Qualifications
- Active RRT credential required; CRT candidates will not be considered
- Valid Colorado Registered Respiratory Therapist license (DORA-RT) in good standing
- Current AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP are all required
- Required proof of flu vaccination (no declinations accepted)
- Demonstrated critical care and ventilator management experience
- Neonatal and pediatric respiratory experience required
- Up-to-date resume and skill sheet for submission
Education
- Completion of an approved Respiratory Therapy program as required for licensure
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong ventilator management and critical care respiratory skills
- Proficiency with respiratory diagnostic procedures and cardiopulmonary assessment
- Experience across neonatal, pediatric, and adult patient populations
- Comfort working with high-acuity patients and multidisciplinary care teams
- Clear clinical documentation and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks during busy 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends
