Shift Type: Tuesday-Saturday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM Day (Saturday: inpatient only; typical Saturday workload ~2.5 hours)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered physical therapy treatments and assist with therapeutic interventions
- Perform guided exercise programs, manual therapy techniques, and functional mobility training
- Accurately document treatments and progress in Cerner to support continuity of care
- Collaborate with PTs, nursing, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and progression toward goals
- Assist with patient transfers, mobility devices, and discharge planning as directed
- Maintain professional standards, infection control, and safety while delivering compassionate care
Qualifications
- Current State Physical Therapy Assistant license or ability to obtain one
- BLS Certification required (must be current)
- Minimum 2 years of PTA experience (outpatient focus preferred)
- Experience with Cerner or similar electronic health records strongly preferred
- Comfort working in both outpatient and occasional inpatient settings (90% outpatient / 10% inpatient)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the care team
Education
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Outpatient therapeutic interventions and patient progression
- Basic inpatient mobility and safety practices
- Proficiency in documentation and charting in Cerner
- Skilled in therapeutic exercise, gait training, and assistive device education
- Strong patient education and motivational interviewing skills
- Time management and prioritization across a varied caseload
