Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality direct patient care in an outpatient OBGYN setting, including vitals, specimen collection, and basic assessments
• Perform IV therapy and proficient phlebotomy for labs and procedures
• Assist and support specialized OBGYN procedures such as PAP, Colposcopy, LEEP, D&C, EMB, IUD and Nexplanon insertions/removals, and NSTs
• Chart accurately and efficiently in Epic to support continuity of care and clear communication
• Administer vaccines and medications (IM and SQ) and maintain accurate documentation
• Conduct telephone triage, follow-up calls, and patient education with compassion and clarity
• Prepare procedure rooms, ensure specimen labeling and chain-of-custody, and follow infection control protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and referrals

Qualifications

• Current California LVN license (required)
• Minimum 3 years LVN experience in outpatient or urgent care settings (L&D experience considered if outpatient clinic experience exists)
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC (required)
• IV/Blood draw certification with proven proficiency in phlebotomy (required)
• Epic charting experience (required)
• Flu vaccination required (no declinations or exemptions)
• Phlebotomy certification, vaccine administration, and telephone triage experience preferred

Education

• Completion of an accredited Vocational Nursing (LVN) program

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of OB/GYN procedures and women's health concerns
• Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records
• Strong IV therapy and phlebotomy skills
• Skilled in vaccine administration and medication administration (IM & SQ)
• Excellent communication for patient education and telephone triage
• Ability to follow infection control and specimen labeling protocols
• Comfortable working with adolescents through geriatrics
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to float to nearby clinics when needed
