Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum (LDRP) settings
• Assess, monitor and deliver care to neonates in the Special Care Nursery with attention to safety and developmental needs
• Perform continuous fetal heart monitoring using EFM and Fetalink and escalate concerns promptly
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Cerner
• Collaborate closely with obstetricians, neonatologists and the multidisciplinary team to optimize maternal and neonatal outcomes
• Participate in required competency testing, skills checklists and mandatory health screenings
• Educate patients and families on procedures, newborn care and postpartum recovery

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (ability to verify license/certification required)
• Current BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications (listed as required)
• AWHONN or Fetal Heart Monitoring certification (required)
• Experience working in LDRP and Special Care Nursery settings preferred
• Completion of employer-specific competency testing and skills checklist as requested

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong skills in labor & delivery nursing and neonatal care
• Proficient with electronic health records — Cerner experience preferred
• Competent with fetal monitoring technologies including EFM and Fetalink
• Knowledge of ACLS, BLS and NRP protocols and emergency response
• Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
