Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality cardiac cath lab nursing care before, during, and after procedures
• Assess and monitor patients’ hemodynamics and respond quickly to changes
• Support the cath team in sterile technique, procedural setup, and instrument handling
• Manage post-procedure recovery, pain control, and patient education
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and support staff to optimize outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation, checklists, and compliance with unit policies
• Respond professionally to on-call situations, ensuring safe handoffs and continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (Indiana license or appropriate compact licensure accepted)
• BLS and ACLS required
• NRP, NIHSS, and CPI certifications listed as required per site credentialing
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience and comfort with procedural monitoring and sterile field support
• Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and successful license/certificate verification
• Ability to work scheduled day shifts and participate in call/1 weekend per month

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and cath lab procedures
• Proficiency with patient monitoring, interpreting telemetry and basic ECG changes
• Excellent sterile technique and procedural support skills
• Comfortable with fast-paced, high-acuity environments and emergency response
• Effective communication, teamwork, and bedside patient education
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
