Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat outpatient orthopedic patients using evidence-based interventions
• Perform thorough musculoskeletal evaluations and fall risk assessments to guide care plans
• Manage your caseload efficiently to meet productivity expectations (10-11 visits/day)
• Document accurately in NextGen EHR and communicate progress with the care team
• Provide case management and screening to build and maintain an appropriate caseload
• Deliver compassionate patient education to support recovery and prevent re-injury
• Collaborate with providers and support staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality care

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in Illinois or eligible for Illinois licensure
• 1+ years of outpatient orthopedic physical therapy experience preferred
• Comfortable using NextGen EHR (experience with EHR systems required)
• BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain promptly)
• Strong caseload management, screening, and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; professional business casual presentation
• Able to pass standard background checks and meet credentialing/compliance requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT, MPT) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Orthopedic rehabilitation: post-op care, total joint replacement, rotator cuff, ACL/meniscus management
• Musculoskeletal evaluation and hands-on clinical assessment
• Fall risk assessment and geriatric considerations
• Case management, screening, and building a sustainable caseload
• Productivity focus: managing 10-11 visits per day efficiently
• Proficiency with NextGen EHR and general electronic charting workflows
