Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to determine functional status and create individualized treatment plans
• Deliver therapeutic activities focused on restoring independence in daily living, vocational, and recreational tasks
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and family members to align goals and track progress
• Implement rehabilitation procedures and adapt programs based on patient response and safety
• Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and timely
• Coach patients and caregivers on strategies to maximize independence and safety at home and in the community

Qualifications

• Current Oregon Occupational Therapy license or eligibility to obtain one
• Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current CPR certification
• Valid Oregon driver’s license
• Demonstrated experience or knowledge in physical disability and rehabilitation procedures
• Strong communication skills and effective team collaboration

Education

• Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (accredited by AOTA)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient evaluation and treatment planning
• Rehabilitation procedures and adaptive techniques
• Vocational and recreational therapy approaches
• General medicine, surgical concepts, and mental health awareness
• Interdisciplinary team collaboration and patient/family education
• Clear documentation and care coordination skills
