Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic mammography exams while ensuring patient comfort and dignity
• Operate and maintain radiology diagnostic equipment safely and according to protocol
• Use PACS and electronic practice management systems to accurately document and manage images
• Apply radiation safety principles to protect patients and staff
• Communicate exam findings and patient concerns clearly with the care team
• Provide compassionate patient education about procedures and follow-up
• Maintain accurate charts, complete orientation requirements, and follow clinic workflows

Qualifications

• Certified Mammography Technologist — ARRT (M) required
• Medical Radiographer: CA (MRAD:CA) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR) required
• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology (or equivalent) required
• Completion of 40 hours of structured education in Mammography required
• Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT RTR) preferred
• One (1) year experience as a Radiologic/Mammography Technologist preferred
• Six (6) months outpatient experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills

Education

• High School Graduate or GED equivalent required
• Completion of an AMA school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent required
• Completion of 40 hours of structured mammography education required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in mammography and general radiography techniques
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to imaging
• Experience with PACS and electronic practice management systems
• Radiation safety and proper equipment care
• Proficient medical terminology and charting
• Excellent patient communication and customer service
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
