Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate overnight nursing care to assigned patients on the MST unit
• Assess, monitor, and document patient condition and vital signs consistently
• Administer medications and treatments safely and per orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Respond quickly to changes in patient status and escalate concerns appropriately
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the chart
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans, medications, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in California (required)
• Experience working as an RN in acute care or medical-surgical environments preferred
• Prior MST experience is a strong plus
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or as required by facility
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work independently on night shifts and collaborate with the care team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid medical-surgical nursing knowledge
• Proficiency with patient assessment and documentation
• Comfortable administering medications and IV therapies
• Skilled in prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced overnight environment
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and staff
• Familiarity with electronic health record workflows
