Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care throughout the overnight shift
• Assess patients, monitor changes, and document findings clearly in the medical record
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate timely care
• Respond to urgent clinical situations with calm, evidence-based action
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate handoffs to day staff to ensure continuity of care
• Support patients impacted by MST-related issues with sensitivity and respect

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of assignment (California)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS as required by facility
• Experience working night shifts or per-diem nursing preferred
• Comfort working with sensitive patient populations, including MST-related care
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Nursing degree (ADN or BSN) — program completion required for RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and triage for acute and chronic conditions
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation skills
• Trauma-informed, culturally competent care approaches
• Team collaboration and clear clinical communication
• Time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
