Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in scrub, monitor, and circulating roles during cardiac and EP cases — be an essential part of the procedural team
• Support STEMI and other high-acuity cardiovascular patients with calm, precise technical care
• Operate and maintain cath lab and EP equipment, ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency
• Chart thoroughly and accurately in EPIC to maintain excellent clinical documentation
• Respond to on-call situations within the required 30-minute window to support urgent patient needs
• Participate in unit-specific orientation and ongoing team training to keep skills sharp
• Float within the department as needed across designated zone facilities when extreme needs arise

Qualifications

• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required
• Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) required; if ARRT (R) is not held, candidate must obtain Colorado Fluoroscopy license (can be obtained in ~1 week)
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) required
• At least 1 year of cardiovascular/cath lab or STEMI-focused technologist experience
• Valid driver's license required (60-mile radius requirement; DL must be submitted)
• Able to be in-state and available for the week of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong experience in cardiac cath lab procedures and STEMI care
• Comfortable working in EP and hybrid lab environments
• Proficient with EPIC charting and electronic documentation
• Skilled in scrub, monitor, and circulating roles
• Familiarity with common cardiology diagnoses: STEMI, cardiogenic shock, CAD, PAD, AFib/AFlutter
• Able to manage call responsibilities and rapid response situations
