Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in the emergency setting
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring patient responses
• Stabilize acute and critical patients using evidence-based interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes clearly and timely
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and follow-up care
• Advocate for patient safety and quality outcomes during high-acuity situations

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred for ER work
• Previous emergency department experience preferred (even 1+ year is helpful)
• Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Strong communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in triage and emergency assessment techniques
• Skilled at IV placement, medication administration and wound care
• Familiarity with emergency protocols and acute care workflows
• Comfortable using electronic health record systems for documentation
• Ability to prioritize multiple patients and tasks under pressure
