Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and support during overnight hours
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and document patient status and report changes promptly to nursing staff
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during the night shift, including fall prevention and bedside checks
• Support medication and treatment routines under the direction of licensed staff
• Communicate clearly with the care team and participate in shift handoffs

Qualifications

• Current and active CNA certification (required)
• Valid basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working overnight hours and supporting patient needs during NOC
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Previous long-term care or acute care experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient hygiene, transfers, and safe mobility techniques
• Knowledge of infection control and safety best practices
• Accurate documentation and time management during overnight shifts
• Ability to observe changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
