Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered occupational therapy evaluations and develop meaningful treatment plans
- Deliver skilled OT interventions to improve independence in activities of daily living
- Document progress and outcomes clearly and compliantly in the medical record
- Collaborate with nurses, PT, SLP, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families on adaptive strategies, home programs, and safe discharge planning
- Advocate for patients’ functional needs and recommend assistive equipment when appropriate
Qualifications
- California Occupational Therapy license required (must be authorized to practice in CA)
- OTR credentials or equivalent preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain)
- Comfortable managing a variable caseload in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, patient-focused mindset
Education
- Degree in Occupational Therapy (entry-level OTD, Master's, or Bachelor's in OT as applicable)
Knowledge & Skills
- Assessment and intervention for ADLs, IADLs, and functional mobility
- Experience with adaptive equipment and home program development
- Solid clinical documentation and charting skills
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
- Excellent time management and prioritization for varied schedules
