Shift Type: Rotating nights within Sunday-Saturday work week, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (Night), 36 hours/week guaranteed

Candidate Pay Rate: $32 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) following individualized care plans
- Provide safe patient lifting, turning, positioning and transfers using proper techniques
- Coordinate dining room services at assigned mealtimes — set up, tray delivery, feeding assistance and cleanup
- Deliver and document nutritional supplements and monitor intake
- Weigh residents per facility policy and report significant changes to nursing staff
- Monitor and report skin condition, pressure areas, and any signs of breakdown or tears
- Assist with toileting programs and resident transport as directed
- Complete daily flow sheets and document resident progress accurately and timely
- Communicate changes in resident condition to the nurse and supervisor promptly
Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ year experience in long-term care (required)
- Previous travel experience (required)
- BLS from the American Heart Association (AHA) — must be current
- High School diploma or equivalent (required)
- Stable work history — ability to show prior assignments/positions of 13+ weeks
- No disciplinary action on certification (must be clean at time of submission)
- Active Michigan license required and must be active at time of submission
- Current resume with permanent address, skills checklist (within last year), and 2 supervisory references from the last 2 years
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong hands-on skills with ADLs, feeding assistance and toileting support
- Safe resident handling: patient lifting, positioning and transfer techniques
- Competent documentation skills and use of flow sheets
- Experience with resident weighing and tracking weight changes
- Skin assessment and pressure area monitoring awareness
- Dining room coordination and meal tray delivery skills
- Administration and documentation of nutritional supplements
- Familiarity with American Data EMR or similar electronic charting systems
- Clear communication and teamwork with nurses and supervisors
