Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess students’ speech, language, fluency, and swallowing needs using evidence-based tools
• Develop individualized education program (IEP) goals and measurable treatment plans
• Deliver engaging, student-centered therapy in individual and group settings
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and complete required school paperwork on time
• Provide consultative support and strategies to classroom staff to foster communication access
• Participate in IEP meetings and clearly communicate assessment results and recommendations

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent graduate-level SLP credential
• Active or eligible Oregon state SLP license (state licensure required for placement)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or equivalent clinical experience
• Experience in school-based settings and familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
• Comfortable working with pediatric populations across a range of communication needs
• Ability to pass background checks and meet district onboarding requirements

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent graduate degree)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of pediatric speech and language assessment and intervention
• Experience developing IEP goals and measurable objectives
• Skilled in articulation, language therapy, fluency strategies, and augmentative communication
• Proficient documentation and progress-tracking skills
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with teachers, parents, and staff
• Ability to adapt therapy to classroom routines and support functional communication
