Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care across the Main ED, Fast Track, and ED Observation areas
• Rotate through triage, quick registration, COVID tent, and entry screening as assigned to meet patient flow needs
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients quickly and accurately to improve outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to implement timely care plans
• Manage patient loads efficiently while maintaining safety and excellent bedside manner
• Assist with COVID testing and immunization clinics when needed to support community health efforts
• Support unit needs by floating to other departments or assisting with task-oriented duties as required

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license appropriate for practice
• Minimum 2 years recent RN experience in Emergency Department nursing
• Comfortable with 12-hour shifts and rotating between ED areas daily
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS required
• PALS or ENPC required
• TNCC required
• Conscious Sedation certification required or willing to obtain through facility process
• Ability to adapt to changing assignments and maintain strong patient-centered care under pressure

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong triage assessment and rapid clinical decision-making
• Experience with trauma, fast track, and observation workflows
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a busy ED environment
• Skill managing fluctuating patient volumes and prioritizing tasks
• Familiarity with quick registration processes and ED documentation systems
• Infection control practices and experience with testing/vaccination clinics
• Willingness to float and take on varied responsibilities as needed
