Shift Type: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Night shift (12.5-hour overnight schedule; specific days may vary)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process to deliver patient-centered outcomes
- Perform thorough clinical assessments and document findings clearly and concisely
- Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with physician orders
- Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge to promote recovery and understanding
- Notify physicians of pertinent observations and changes in patient status in a timely manner
- Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise co-workers to ensure safe, efficient care
- Maintain equipment and supplies readiness and report malfunctions promptly
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold unit safety and service standards
Qualifications
- Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
- Current CPR certification required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Previous Emergency Department nursing experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to make independent decisions and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced ED
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in clinical assessment and the nursing process
- Skilled in medication/treatment administration and nursing documentation
- Familiarity with AIDET and TeamSTEPPS communication frameworks
- Strong patient/family education capabilities and compassionate bedside manner
- Quality improvement mindset, safety awareness and good delegation skills
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving abilities
