Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in accordance with St. Joseph Hospital policies
• Monitor telemetry and respond to cardiac and clinical changes promptly
• Administer medications, treatments and interventions safely and accurately
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses in the electronic health record
• Communicate clearly with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team to support care plans
• Collaborate with the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse and Unit Director to ensure quality and continuity of care
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current Maine RN license (required)
• BLS and ACLS required within 30 days of hire
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• MOAB or CPI certification preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills, ability to multi-task and work well on a team
• Comfort working nights and adapting to a fast-paced clinical environment

Education

• Bachelor's degree preferred

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with hospital policies, infection control and patient safety protocols
• Strong interpersonal and time-management skills
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and follow charge nurse direction
