Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to adult patients across multiple units
• Float between Medical, Laulima (Surgical Acute), and occasional Cardiovascular units to meet staffing needs
• Manage specialized equipment and procedures including wound VACs and chest tube care
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Meditech EMR
• Safely administer medications and utilize Pyxis for medication management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and execute patient-centered care plans
• Participate in orientation and unit-specific training to maintain readiness across units

Qualifications

• Active Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment (Start Date: 2026-04-06)
• BLS required; ACLS required (PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC preferred)
• 2-10 years of nursing experience (medical-surgical or relevant unit experience preferred)
• Comfortable with night shift nursing and 12-hour schedules
• Ability to float across units and adapt to changing clinical environments

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with Meditech EMR for thorough and timely documentation
• Experience with Pyxis medication systems
• Clinical skills in wound VAC management and chest tube care
• Strong medical-surgical nursing fundamentals and assessment skills
• Ability to prioritize care in busy settings and maintain patient safety
• Teamwork, clear communication, and adaptability when floating between units
