Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare the OR environment and sterile field so every procedure starts safely and smoothly
- Assist the surgical team throughout operative procedures, anticipating needs and passing instruments
- Handle instruments and medical devices with precision, ensuring proper function and safety
- Provide exposure, assist with tissue handling, perform suturing and hemostasis as directed
- Arrange and inventory sterile set-ups and restock supplies between cases
- Support patient preparation, positioning, transfer, and safe movement to and from the OR
- Follow infection prevention standards and use technology safely to protect patients and staff
- Engage in ongoing professional development, competency assessments, and unit performance activities
Qualifications
- 2 years CSFA experience (required)
- Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist program (required)
- NBSTSA certification (required)
- Proven ability to work under RN direction and collaborate effectively with surgical teams
- Demonstrated adherence to sterile technique, infection prevention, and safety protocols
Education
- Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist program
Knowledge & Skills
- Peri-operative care fundamentals and operating room assistance
- Sterile set-up and maintenance with strong sterile technique
- Instrument handling, passing, and inventory management
- Suturing and hemostasis support during procedures
- Familiarity with medical devices and surgical technology, including robotic (daVinci) exposure
- Patient preparation, positioning, transfer, and safe movement
- Infection prevention standards and evidence-based clinical practices
- Ability to participate in performance improvement and complete competency assessments
