Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care during overnight shifts
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to protocol
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Respond promptly to patient needs and clinical emergencies
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS preferred
• Comfortable working overnight/overnight-to-morning shifts
• Experience working in acute care or similar clinical settings preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on per-diem shifts
• Background or training related to MST (as indicated by job title) is a plus

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of nursing assessment, interventions, and documentation
• Skilled in medication administration and IV therapy basics
• Proficient clinical judgment and the ability to prioritize tasks
• Familiarity with electronic medical record documentation
• Ability to manage acute patient needs and escalate concerns appropriately
• Compassionate patient communication and family education techniques
