Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine studies to produce high-quality images that support accurate physician diagnoses
- Obtain patient history, explain procedures clearly, and address concerns to ensure patient comfort and confidence
- Prepare, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals within scope of practice and per practitioner orders
- Operate, maintain, and perform daily/periodic checks on nuclear imaging equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation
- Complete quality assurance procedures and follow radiation safety and regulatory protocols to protect patients and staff
- Maintain accurate documentation in paper and Cerner electronic medical records, including logs and forms
- Manage supplies and perform routine equipment maintenance to keep the department running smoothly
- Collaborate with other radiology areas as needed and perform related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Registered in Nuclear Medicine with ARRT or NMTCB (required)
- Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) experience
- Current BLS certification
- Familiarity with radiation safety and regulatory compliance
- Experience documenting in Cerner EMR or similar systems
- Strong patient communication skills and a professional bedside manner
Education
- Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program or equivalent (relevant certification required)
- High school diploma or GED (minimum), additional technical education preferred
- ARRT or NMTCB registration required; BLS certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven ability to perform diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging and operate nuclear imaging equipment
- Skill in radiopharmaceutical preparation, dosing, and administration
- Solid understanding of radiation safety, QA practices, and regulatory standards
- Proficiency with documentation and electronic medical records (Cerner preferred)
- Comfort performing routine equipment maintenance and supply management
- Ability to take patient histories, explain procedures, and address patient needs compassionately
