Radiologic Technologist - Mobile X-Ray

Shift Type: Rotating AM and PM shifts, including evenings and weekends; exact start/end times vary by facility and assignment (schedule includes weekend coverage). Staffing noted as 3 full-time positions and 1 part-time position.
Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform and process diagnostic portable X-rays using DR or CR equipment and submit images to a Radiologist for timely interpretation
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered imaging at bedside in nursing homes and other care facilities
- Acquire and transmit EKGs to a Cardiologist when required
- Safely unload, transport, set up and operate portable imaging equipment at multiple sites
- Ensure clinically diagnostic and technically competent images through correct patient positioning and technique
- Scan and transmit exam paperwork and billing documentation daily per protocol
- Communicate proactively with dispatch, management, peers and facility staff to coordinate exams
- Maintain and perform routine care on vehicle and imaging equipment to ensure readiness and safety
Qualifications
- ARRT certification required
- Active California state radiology license required (limited licenses not accepted)
- Valid driver’s license in good standing and reliable driving record
- Comfortable performing mobile bedside imaging and patient positioning in varied settings
- Ability to lift/push/pull equipment (representative forces up to 50–100 lbs with aides such as ramps or pulleys)
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as part of rotating schedule
- COVID-19 vaccination required or documentation provided for approved exemption
- Professional communication skills and ability to follow documentation/billing protocols
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with portable Digital Radiography (DR) and Computed Radiography (CR)
- EKG acquisition and transmission workflows
- Image transmission workflows and PACS handling
- Patient care, positioning and radiographic technique for diagnostic quality images
- Familiarity with scanning/documentation and billing processes
- Basic vehicle and equipment maintenance knowledge
- Strong communication skills for interaction with dispatch, facility staff and radiologists
- Time management and adaptability for a mobile, variable schedule
