Shift Type: Variable schedule, no guaranteed hours; assignments are scheduled as needed and typically occur during daytime with occasional evenings and weekends. Exact start/end times vary by assignment.
Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform and process portable X-rays using digital (DR) and computed (CR) systems to obtain diagnostically sound images
- Operate mobile X-ray equipment safely and transport it into patient rooms and facilities
- Perform EKGs when requested and transmit studies to a Cardiologist for interpretation
- Transmit images and related paperwork to Radiologists via PACS and follow transmission protocols
- Scan and document exam paperwork and billing documentation daily per protocol
- Communicate professionally and efficiently with dispatch, facility staff, peers, and supervisors
- Maintain and perform basic upkeep on vehicle and mobile imaging equipment
- Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and facility-specific policies to protect patients and staff
- Safely handle patient positioning and assist with patient transfers as needed
Qualifications
- ARRT certification required
- California Radiologic Technologist License required; limited or pending licenses not accepted
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to safely push/pull and lift mobile equipment frequently (up to 50–100 lbs in routine tasks)
- Willingness to provide COVID status at time of presentation as requested by client
- Reliable, professional communicator comfortable working independently in varied settings
- No non-compete restrictions on file (agency to confirm if presenting travelers)
Education
- ARRT certification (required)
- California Radiologic Technologist License (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Portable digital radiography (DR) and computed radiography (CR) operation
- Diagnostic radiography techniques and patient positioning
- Electrocardiography (EKG) acquisition and transmission
- Image transmission/PACS workflows and basic image processing
- Infection control and radiation safety practices
- Vehicle and mobile equipment basic maintenance and safe handling
- Accurate scanning, documentation, and billing paperwork procedures
- Strong communication and dispatch coordination skills
