Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic and CT procedures to produce high-quality images for patient diagnosis
- Operate portable imaging equipment in the emergency room and surgery suite when needed
- Provide procedural-related patient care and education with compassion and clear communication
- Maintain accurate procedure documentation and patient records, ensuring confidentiality at all times
- Identify and address patient care needs, including language and cultural considerations
- Collaborate professionally with physicians, nurses, and other care team members to support patient outcomes
- Participate in the rotating on-call schedule and respond promptly when needed
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Radiology, or a related field (required)
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (required)
- Kansas state radiologic license required or license pending at hire (must provide proof of application once offered)
- One year of radiologic/CT experience preferred; new grads will be considered
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required
- Ability to work independently and be proficient in radiographic and CT techniques
- Willingness to participate in rotating on-call weeknights and weekend coverage
Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Radiology, or related field (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Radiography and CT imaging techniques
- Portable imaging in ER and surgical settings
- Procedure documentation and recordkeeping best practices
- Patient education, communication, and compassionate care
- Familiarity with critical access hospital workflows and multi-department collaboration
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professional interactions
