Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality family and primary care to adult outpatients with compassion and clinical excellence
- Perform and interpret EKGs to support diagnosis and management of cardiac-related concerns
- Conduct disability and occupational medicine exams with clear, accurate documentation
- Document visits thoroughly and efficiently in Cerner to ensure continuity of care
- Coordinate care and referrals with specialists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Contribute to practice quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Maintain current clinical knowledge and adhere to institutional policies and credentialing timelines
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree and valid medical training
- Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine (preferred)
- New Jersey medical license required, or ability to obtain a NJ license (support provided)
- Experience in adult outpatient primary care and EKG interpretation
- Experience performing disability/occupational medicine exams is required
- Proficiency with Cerner or willingness to become proficient
- Current BLS certification (and additional certifications as required by facility)
Education
- Medical degree (MD or DO) required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical skills in family medicine and primary care for adult patients
- Ability to interpret EKGs accurately and integrate findings into care plans
- Familiarity with occupational medicine and disability exam documentation
- Comfortable using Cerner EMR for charting, orders, and communication
- Excellent patient communication, triage, and care coordination skills
- Organized approach to managing a busy outpatient clinic seeing ~20 patients/day
