Shift Type: Monday, Friday, Saturday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Day shift). Note: orientation/training may require Monday-Friday, five 8-hour days.
Hours per Week: 32
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide medication management and evidence-based psychopharmacology for patients with substance use disorders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nursing, social work, and counseling staff
- Deliver timely, clear documentation and maintain high standards of clinical record keeping
- Supervise and train staff and newer clinicians as part of orientation and ongoing education
- Participate in case reviews, treatment planning meetings, and quality improvement initiatives
- Respond to clinical crises with calm, expert decision-making to keep patients safe
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree with specialization in Psychiatry
- Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry preferred
- Experience in substance abuse treatment and general mental health care
- Comfort and experience providing training or mentorship to clinical staff
- Active or eligible medical license in California (ability to obtain CA license required for practice)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-based setting
Knowledge & Skills
- Deep knowledge of psychiatric assessment and psychopharmacology
- Experience treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
- Skilled at crisis assessment, risk management, and stabilization
- Ability to document clearly and efficiently in clinical records
- Collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams and correctional/substance treatment settings
