Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and clinical assessments for patients in the psychiatric program
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and measurable goals
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions and crisis intervention when needed
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, nurses, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Document clinical findings, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately and timely
• Advocate for patient needs and connect patients to community resources and support services
• Participate in case conferences and contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Current California Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential required
• Experience or demonstrated competency in mental health and psychiatric care
• Comfort working in a structured psychiatric program and handling crisis situations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for clinical documentation and team collaboration
• Ability to work the scheduled hours: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Pass required background checks and facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Master of Social Work (MSW) required
• Active LCSW licensure in California required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in psychosocial assessment, treatment planning, and clinical interventions
• Crisis management and de-escalation techniques
• Knowledge of psychiatric disorders, community resources, and discharge planning
• Proficient clinical documentation and case management skills
• Collaborative approach to working within an interdisciplinary team
• Culturally competent care and trauma-informed practice
