Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the medical unit
• Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and respond to changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
• Adhere to infection control standards and facility safety protocols
• Support unit operations by participating in shift handoffs, meetings, and improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
• Clinical nursing experience in a medical/unit setting preferred
• Ability to work the scheduled Monday–Friday daytime shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Willingness to complete facility-required orientation and any background checks

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, diploma, or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Medication administration and documentation proficiency
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced medical unit and prioritizing care
• Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation (or willingness to learn quickly)
