Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight hours
• Monitor patient conditions, assess changes, and communicate critical findings
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies following policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Document patient status and interventions accurately and timely
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up
• Respond rapidly to emergencies and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine or an active multistate compact RN license
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS preferred or available
• Minimum clinical experience in inpatient nursing preferred; new grads with strong clinical preparation welcomed to apply
• Ability to work overnight shifts and deliver high-quality care during busy hours
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills in inpatient settings
• Experience with medication administration and IV therapy
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
• Comfort managing multiple patients and prioritizing tasks overnight
• Collaborative approach to working with physicians, therapists, and support staff
