Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to assigned patients as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility policy
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians and the interdisciplinary team to support care plans
• Educate patients and families to promote recovery and safe transitions
• Maintain clear, timely charting in the electronic medical record
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid in North Carolina
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required
• Previous experience as an LPN preferred; experience in long-term care or med-surg is a plus
• Ability to work evenings and every other weekend as required
• Strong communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program and LPN/LVN diploma or certificate

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Patient assessment, vital sign monitoring and basic wound care
• Familiarity with common nursing procedures and protocols
• Comfort using electronic medical records and standard clinical documentation
• Effective communication with patients, families and the care team
• Time management and ability to prioritize in a busy clinical setting
