Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents at Casa De Oro Center
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
- Monitor residents' conditions and promptly report changes to the care team
- Document care thoroughly and maintain clear, timely charting in the EMR
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists and support staff to deliver coordinated care
- Educate residents and families about care plans and promote resident dignity
- Adhere to infection control, safety protocols and facility policies at all times
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico (or eligible to obtain)
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Previous experience as an LPN in long-term care or similar settings is a plus
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
- Strong communication, teamwork and time-management skills
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and safe documentation practices
- Resident assessment, vital signs and basic clinical procedures
- Wound care and basic dressing changes
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and timely charting
- Infection prevention, safety protocols and regulatory compliance
- Prioritization skills for busy overnight shifts
