Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered overnight nursing care with professionalism and heart
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Continuously monitor patient conditions and escalate concerns to the care team as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to deliver coordinated care plans
• Perform admission, transfer and discharge support while maintaining high standards of safety
• Maintain infection control practices and ensure a clean, safe environment
• Educate residents and families with clear, empathetic communication

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or active compact RN license
• If LPN coverage is considered, current LPN license in New Mexico (facility may accept LPNs depending on need)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Clinical experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehab settings is preferred
• Strong communication skills, adaptability, and a team-first attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, diploma, or BSN for RNs; accredited LPN program for LPNs)

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Solid patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Familiarity with electronic health records and charting best practices
• Ability to manage multiple tasks during overnight shifts while maintaining attention to detail
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong collaboration with nursing aides and interdisciplinary staff
