Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to residents and patients during overnight hours
• Perform thorough assessments, monitor patient status, and escalate changes in condition promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow individualized care plans
• Provide clear, empathetic communication with patients and families during sensitive overnight hours
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection prevention and facility policies
• Support admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring smooth handoffs between shifts

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license in New Mexico (licensed practical nurse or registered nurse required)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or ability to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable working overnight shifts with solid clinical judgment and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to pass standard background checks and meet facility immunization requirements
• Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or similar settings is a plus

Education

• LPN: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
• RN: Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in medication administration and documentation
• Skilled at patient assessment, vital signs, and recognizing changes in condition
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting practices
• Good time management and prioritization skills during busy overnight shifts
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
