Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care during the night shift
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time
• Monitor and document patient vitals, changes in condition, and nursing interventions
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support care plans and safe transitions
• Perform thorough handoffs and maintain clear, timely charting in the medical record
• Assist with activities of daily living and ensure patient comfort and safety overnight
• Respond promptly to clinical emergencies and escalate concerns to providers as needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico (required)
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) candidates considered where applicable
• Current BLS/CPR certification (required or willing to obtain)
• Experience in long-term care, rehab, or skilled nursing preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and comfort with overnight patient management
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing required for RN candidates
• BSN preferred where available; LPN diploma for LPN candidates

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration and documentation
• Proficient with patient assessment and identifying changes in condition
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Ability to prioritize tasks during a busy night shift
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Basic wound care and infection control practices
